This position will manage and oversee engineering project planning, validation and implementation. Design and develop manufacturing processes, techniques and tooling by applying engineering knowledge and managerial skills to design and develop new products as well as product changes and enhancements which are consistent with a zero defect level and low product cost. Responsible for reliability and manufacturability of products or technologies as developed. Assure that all processes and process changes are completely validated before they are released into manufacturing or service. Provide leadership, goal setting, communications and use facilitation skills to guide and motivate project staff. Make requests to and obtain committments from appropriate departments for those people and time resources required outside the group. Assure appropriate training and skill development is provided to staff as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of concepts, designs, and processes. Maintain current knowledge of medical, technical, and biomedical developments as related to company products.    

Practice Quality System procedures and comply with its requirements to carry out responsibilities as outlined in safety, health and environmental policies. Complete all required training successfully.

Requirements

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Egineering or relevant engineering or scientific field with a minimum of 10 years engineering and product development experience with at least three years being in a core team engineer role or Project Manager role or over 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree. Excellent oral and written communications skills; leadership skills to coach and direct multi-functional project team; knowledge of ISO and FDA requirements; ability to make independent decisions; organizational skills; medical device experience highly desireable.
