Service Training Information / Schedule

Field Service Training Seminars

 

Cardinal Health - Pulmonetic Systems is pleased to announce our LTV ® Field Service Training schedule for the year 2008. These classes will cover the complete line of LTV ® Series Ventilators (800, 900, 1000, 1150 and 1200). In order to provide the highest quality of instruction, class sizes are limited to ten students. Classes will fill quickly and we do recommend that you register well in advance. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first served basis and only if accompanied by a valid purchase order number.

Qualifications

To participate in our Service Training program, a company/facility must meet two or more of the following qualifications:

  • An International distributor that has entered into a distribution agreement with Pulmonetic Systems
  • A Cardinal Health - VIASYS Healthcare business partner that distributes/will service LTV Ventilators in their area
  • An account in good standing with Pulmonetic Systems
  • A hospital, healthcare facility, or dealer with its own biomedical/service staff, which will only perform service/maintenance on their own LTV Series equipment.
  • The company must own/distribute the ventilator model(s) being trained on.

Facilities that do not own any LTV Series Ventilators are not eligible for this training. This includes independent service / biomedical companies.

Student Qualifications

  • The student should have at least 6 months biomedical / equipment servicing experience, preferably with respiratory products.
  • The student should have a basic familiarity of ventilation terms and definitions.

 

Agreement / Terms of Certification

All students will be required to sign an agreement form during their training class. This signed agreement will necessary for certification / authorization to order parts and to service Pulmonetic Systems ventilators. A sample of this agreement form will be provided with the registration and confirmation forms, or upon request from Pulmonetic Systems Technical Support.

Basic Training Outline

  • Day 1 – Product Overview, Controls and Modes of Ventilation, Theory of Operation, Extended Features
  • Day 2 – Extended Features, Reporting, Teardown/Rebuild of LTV1200 Ventilator
  • Day 3 – Calibration and Testing of LTV1200
  • Day 4 – Teardown/Rebuild of LTV1000, Calibration
  • Day 5 – Performance Checkout, Other Tests (time pending), Class Review, Final Student Test

 

Students will be required to obtain at least an 85% score on the final test. After successfully completing the course, the student will be authorized to complete non-warranty repairs and testing of the ventilator(s) being trained on, including preventive maintenance and component removal/replacement. Warranty repairs are not allowed in the field without prior authorization from Pulmonetic Systems. Repair(s) / Maintenance on LTV ventilators owned by other companies/facilities is not allowed.

Registration / Tuition / Fees

To register for any class, a registration form must be completed and returned to Pulmonetic Systems. Registrations will not be accepted over the phone. Registration can be submitted online via our website at www.pulmonetic.com or can be obtained by contacting Pulmonetic Systems Technical Support.

Note:

A valid purchase order number is required for all students to hold spots in any class. A fee of up to 25% may be charged for students that fail to attend their scheduled training without proper notification to Pulmonetic Systems, regardless if tuition was provided as part of purchase/package deal.

Class tuition is $2000.00 USD per person.

Above tuition costs includes daily continental breakfast, lunch, service manual(s), class handouts, and class certificate. Tuition does not include airfare, lodging, local transportation, and additional meal costs for attendees.

Class shall start at 9:00am (local time) and end at approximately 4:30pm each day.

 

For an additional $999.00, Pulmonetic Systems will include one (1) Maintenance and Calibration Kit (p/n 11566), which includes some of the tools necessary for repairs and testing of the LTV Series Ventilators. This special pricing is only available when purchased with the service training tuition or within 30 days after class completion. Additional kits may be purchased separately at standard pricing.

The city of Plymouth is approximately 15 miles west of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Classes held at locations other than in Minnesota will receive specific location information upon confirmation of class location.

Please do not make any travel arrangements until you receive official confirmation of class registration from Pulmonetic Systems

There are several restaurants either connected to, or within a short walk/drive of each hotel. The following properties do not offer airport shuttle service and are not within a safe walking distance of Pulmonetic Systems. Students are responsible for booking lodging and/or local transportation. Please contact the properties directly for amenity information. Further information regarding airport shuttle service will be sent with class confirmation.  There are other hotel choices available in the Plymouth, MN area.
