Pulmonetic Systems Introduces Heated Wire Circuits for the LTV® Series

Pulmonetic Systems is excited to announce the availability of new heated circuits. Heated wire circuits are primarily used to reduce the condensation in the inspiratory or the inspiratory and expiratory limb of a ventilator circuit. A heated ventilator circuit, combined with a humidifier, warms and humidifies the inspired air and helps with recovering warmth and moisture from the expired air. This contributes to the comfort and well being of the patient. Additionally, condensed water in the ventilator circuit is one of the problems healthcare providers must deal with on a daily basis. A heated circuit can reduce a caregiver’s concern about condensed water in the patient’s circuit, and eliminate the need for emptying water traps.
Pulmonetic Systems' Heated Wire Patient Circuits are intended for the use with Pulmonetic Systems LTV models, 1000, 950, and 900. They are designed for the use with either Adult or Pediatric patients using Fisher & Paykel MR730 (discontinued) or MR850 humidifiers to provide heated and humidified air under a doctor’s supervision. If using a Fisher and Paykel MR730 humidifier, please order a hose heater adaptor from Fisher & Paykel (800.446.3908), part number: 900MR900 Hose Heater Adaptor for dual heated circuit, 900MR901 Hose Heater Adaptor for single heated circuit.
